REAL ESTATE TRUST ACCOUNT CHECKING 

The real estate trust checking account, also known as IBRETA, is available for realtors who are required by law to maintain an interest-bearing trust account for client deposits of earnest money and down payments on the purchase of a home. These funds must be kept separate from other funds.

There is no fee assessed on this account and the rate on the account varies. All interest earned is paid to the State of Wisconsin to fund state-assisted programs for the homeless. For details, see our rates table.
